Publisher's description of Quake 4 demo

From Activision:

Earth assumed the destruction of the Makron would end the siege of the cybernetic Strogg, but it didn't. Quake 4 begins where Quake 3 leaves off. The Strogg are quickly regrouping. However, with the Strogg's planetary defenses still destroyed, Earth's forces can deliver a full and final assault. This time, you're not alone. You are Matthew Kane, an elite member of Rhino Squad, and part of Earth's next invasion wave. An army of soldiers are fighting with you and an arsenal of weapons and vehicles are at your disposal in this heroic and epic battle between worlds.

This official demo for Quake 4 lets you battle through two large areas of the single-player game, including a heavily guarded Strogg installation and the chaotic air defense trenches cut through the desolate Stroggos landscape. This demo also features a multiplayer component, with two versions of the map "The Fragging Yard" for three different online modes.

Using google to calculate mathematical equations

Google adds in new functions in its search every year. A couple of years ago, it quietly added the ability to calculate mathematical equations right from the search box.

If you enter 25 + 35, Google will return 25 + 35 = 60, along with, of course, an option to search for documents that include the term 25 + 35.
To use Google's built-in calculator function, simply enter the calculation you'd like done into the search box and hit the Enter key or click on the Google Search button. The calculator can solve math problems involving basic arithmetic, more complicated math, units of measure and conversions, and physical constants.
Try one of the sample expressions below, or refer to google complete instructions for help in building your own.

These sample queries demonstrate the utility and power of this new feature:
  • 5+2*2
  • 2^20
  • sqrt(-4)
  • half a cup in teaspoons
  • 160 pounds * 4000 feet in Calories
